Can anyone out there suggest a location on the internet where I might find information about famous names in weather? I'm talking more along the lines of historical figures rather than someone like Al Roker. Thanks for your help!

When I think about Al Roker, i think about those TV newscasters who are given a script and told to forecast the weather, even though they couldnt read a basic weather map. I may be wrong, though, but thats the feeling i get from him.

I strongly doubt Al and other forecasters would be able to graduate from a college met program without passing a basic weather map reading course.

For myself personally I've never had a problem with Al.
