Let's hear it for decaying cold fronts and upper level lows ... got about 3 inches of rain this morning at my house as copious tropical moisture in the form of thunderstorms pounded parts of north Austin/Round Rock/Georgetown. Whoo-hoo!
This is so-weet for July ... enjoy it while we can.

I know this weather is crazy. I woke up to cannons this morning, then realized it was thunder
Last night the rain, lighting and thunder was CRAZY. Have no clue how much rain P-vile has gotten, but the last three days it has rained.
I LOVE IT!!!!!!
Now if the electricity would go off and stay off at work, life would be sweeter....

Wow that was alot of rain! 3" in less than an hour. And that was the 3rd big rain in 24 hours - we had a bunch of rain late yesterday and than again around 2 am.
I can see the grass growing

2nd year in a row we haven't run the sprinklers ... except for the test run on July 4...
And we did lose power for about 5 minutes ....
Some of that lightning was very very close...

it was "torrential" in the northern parts of Travis County. I know. I drove to work in it and was just amazed. And yeah, lots of lightning!
We should be grateful here in Austin for such mid summer rains.

I can hear the rain at work, and it is making me sleepy. This is the perfect sleeping weather. *sigh* Too bad the boss isn't more understanding about my weather related sleep issues.

Instant Reply for us in Austin today!
Torrential rains at lunchtime. Parts further north between Temple and Waco have been hammered last 2 days with nearly 10 inches of rain in places. I hear parts of I-35 are under water further north. Yikes!
Well, for August this is remarkable!

I need to break out the water wings... it just keeps on raining!
But the yard sure is green. And 70F in August ... in Austin at noon? Unbelievable.
