Quick update for USA & possible severe weather in TX.
I wanted to put a quick update in seeing how some parts of SE TX are currently under severe Thunderstorm watches..............Right now thier is a strong line of showers and thunderstorms moving se towards the Tx coast..............They should arrive in the Houston area in about 2 hours or so........The other place that may see some severe weather today could be the central plaines around the KC area later this afternoon............The Ohio valley has gotten a nice break today so far as alot of places including my own have sunny conditions and temps expected to rise to near 70...............The MA should enjoy a day without much rain today if any...........Most rain for the east coast will be found in the NE from NY city north and as well down in FLA...............The gulf coast states still has a chance of thunderstorms today.....................The pacific nw looks to heat up again today with Portland, OR probably breaking a record high today which is 91 and this heat is expected to continue another day or so..................If you wanna get away from the heat out west the place to do that would be the southern coastal area of CA where there will be the endless onshore flow off the pacific holding temps in the 60s from Santa Barbara down to the MEX boarder and expect lots of low clouds and fog as well in these areas...................Below here is a current Radar for the Houston area.....................

The storms came through around 12:30 pm and produced brief heavy downpours and winds into the 35-40mph range and some street flooding in a few areas. Rain amounts ranged from the paltry 0.30" at my house to the 2"-3" range in other areas. A long gentle rain for most of the afternoon helped ease the dryness since it was falling to slowly to runoff much. My grand total the last 2 days-0.70" which is 7x as much rain as we had last month.
