I doubt it.
But maybe, just maybe, the fact they even have a slight chance up there every day is the beginning of the end of this marathon dry spell.

They prob are ignoring the feature in that mrf model..for now..My forecasters here tend to until the last minute..If that area in the BOC verifies you will get your rain>>and then some!!!

We hit 98º here yesterday. We may have a good shot of rain tomorrow. 70% chance of locally heavy rain possible. We need a good soaking so let the rain begin.

Without looking further into the models and their progs I can tell you that NO has a better chance than the rest of us with this possible scenario as it is expected that this/these disturbances will track further east and inland if and when they develop. We are still in the zonal flow that is taking everything to our N or S. Our chances are at 30% today and we actually have clouds in the sky too! Yesterday we were in the upper 90's again with a 98.2 here at the house. Galveston was much cooler with it's sea breeze!!!

David,
Hope it follows thru, cause we are parched over here. Looking forward to a good thunderstorm.

There's actually quite a few showers on radar and the sky is full of nice tropical looking clouds. Hopefully we'll get a good little soaking today.

I just received about a .10" of rain with a thundershower at my house (which is more than I received for the whole month of May!) We have a rather large thunderstorm just to our south poised to move in. Lots of thunder and lightning out there. Check out our radar

I guess someone was listening to our prayers for rain after all! I might even have to change my avatar!

I know bfez, this came as a big surprise. We've picked up .50" so far and another storm is about to move in. I'm sure New Orleans will get their turn later today if not then tomorrow. I swear the grass already looks greener.

About an inch of rain so far at my house but some parts of the city have picked up nearly 2 inches. This is the most rain we've had in about 2 months! the storms keep firing and "training" over Lafayette Parish so we could get more. I hope everyone else who needs rain desperately gets what they need.
