I mean, COME ON....SNOW in MAY? Well, "almost" May  Actually, it's pretty normal to have snow this time of year, it's just after 7 months of snow, it's getting OLD!! In reality, we NEED the moisture, as I posted in another thread, the fire danger is HIGH so.......I'll take the moisture, just wish it was in a liquid form not FROZEN!

STRONG U/L JET WILL MOVE ACROSS THE STATE LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND OVERNIGHT. THIS WILL RESULT IN ENHANCED CVA NORTH OF THE JET AXIS. MODERATE OROGRAPHICS WILL COMBINE WITH MODERATE DEEP LAYER UPWARD DIVQ FORCING AND STEEP LAPSE RATES TO PRODUCE A GOOD CHANCE OF RAIN AND SNOW ACROSS NRN AZ THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. SNOW LEVELS WILL FALL LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING AND ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO A FEW INCHES ARE POSSIBLE AT ELEVATIONS ABOVE 6500-7000 FEET TONIGHT.

We had a trace last weekend in Cincinnati. And a Winter Weather Advisory in place. Crazy for late April! We had switched over to A/C and had to turn the heat back on. I forgot to disconnect an outdoor hose too. Luckily it didn't leak inside, in our basement. That was close. I thought we were past the 32 temp mark.

Mother Nature likes to play tricks on us doesn't she?

Sounds like life in Minnesota.. Winter lasts forever..They have had snow every month of the year and were not talking about evelvational influences for it to happen.. Snow on 4th of July weekend is hard to swallow..lol.. I have busted ice during the first week of june coneing along the Canadian Border..It definately takes patience some years..

Yes indeedy.....I think I've been relocated to Minnesota "LOL!" Alas, the snow did not materialize, just rain showers, which btw, was GREATLY appreciated!! NOW....sounds like we're in a holding pattern:

FOR THE EXTENDED PERIOD...BROAD LONG WAVE TROUGH CONTINUES ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST WITH NUMEROUS MINOR DISTURBANCES RIPPLING THROUGH THE FLOW. EACH OF THESE WILL BRING A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS TO THE REGION BUT TIMING OF EACH EVENT REMAINS UNCERTAIN. DB
