There have been three Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for Marion County in Florida in the last few hours. The warnings were in effect until 10:15pm ET, 11:15pm ET and Midnight ET.
The lightning has been non stop for my area since about 8:00pm ET. I am 16 miles south-southwest of the storms all evening. The main feature with this severe weather is large hail.

They got a lot of hail over in the Tampa area. Some up to 2 inches in size! Luckily most of it was either East or North of me.

I was just looking at the same radar to see how HG's area was doing and noticed Gainesville was about to get clocked ...my half-sister and her family live there.

The activity I received Monday afternoon wasn't too close. I did get some rain and some thunder, but not overhead like Sunday evening.
The Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Lake Countythat was issued at 5:12 PM EDT (expired at 6:15 PM EDT), moved south to southwest to my southeast.
Another (non-severe cell) to my southeast that moved in, there was a lot of lightning down in Leesburg, Florida, which is about 10 miles southeast of my location.

Sorry Tom, I spaced out and thought you were in Leesburg. I see now where Lady Lake is ... kind of bordering Lake, Sumter, and Marion counties. Glad you didn't get a bad one like Sunday.

Right, Donna, I am 25 to 30 minutes from Leesburg, generally the weather here occurs in Leesburg, but obviously not all the time. I am literally at "tri-county."
Palatka got hit pretty hard yesterday afternoon, which is slightly west of due north of Chad and slightly east of due north from me.
