For Mid-Atlantic and northeastern USA? We need some 90 degree heatwave. Spring so far here is wet and chilly.

70s and 80s would sound good to me. I do remember some low to mid 90s from time to time when I lived in Middletown, NY! :o

70's and 80's sound good to me too.

Since March, it seems like the seasons have been one month behind. This weather feels more like April, etc.

When the Bermuda High gets established it usually means summer time afternoon showers and thunderstorms for the south. That bermuda high can't come soon enough, we are parched down here!

Hey PT - that is what is over us right now - the Bermuda high - which keeps all the systems to the north of us - giving us the hot dry conditions.

If the Bermuda high would shift more to the east - the SW flow off the GOM would happen and give us those seabreeze showers to cool things down.

Oops, you're right ticka, a shift to the east would bring the Bermuda high to its typical summer time position which allows the showers and thunderstorms to develop in the afternoon.

The tropical storms I guess make up for lost time huh? :o

May can be kind of wet for us too and Memorial Day weekends could be just like the "official" first day of summer with temps in the 70's and 80's or it could be cool and rainy in the 50's and 60's. The rate we are going this year, it will probalby be the latter!
