#1 Postby Guest » Sat May 10, 2003 2:40 am

Well this is my take for Saturday everyone........Looking very bad for parts of the Midwest, Ohio Valley and Lower Lakes Regions........I also want people in the Mid Atlantic To check in as well because you guys will be getting in on some of the action as well.........All comments, updates for your areas are very much appericated.........Below is the map which again also includes a flood threat where some places in it are seeing flooding and some places are very likely to see it with all the rain this past week...........I will add the watches and warnings to this as they arrive Saturday........

you see where that "H" is in VERY HIGH? well that's where i am and here in Central IL, the anxiety for everyone here even at this early hour i am posting is "VERY HIGH". being as i am currently at work and soon to end my shift, it is highly unlikely i'll get much sleep today. already we are under a severe tstorm watch just issued at 6 AM CDT and this after only having the last one cancelled at around 4 AM CDT. watching Joe Bauer last night who is the chief local met on WAND TV, he had a noticeable sense of dread about today's forecast. likewise, all the guys in the local spotter/chaser networks are already buzzing like high tension power lines this morning... :(

*update: we just had a healthy line roll through prompting tornado warnings with the numerous areas of rotation observed (just to my immediate S approx. 15 miles). preliminary reports are telling of damage and everyone is now under a flash flood warning. to think... the day has just begun.* :(

It's gonna be another rough day for our friends in the Upper Midwest today. This is the current radar for Pawlee's area:

http://weather.noaa.gov/radar/loop/DS.p ... kilx.shtml

and for Indianapolis:

http://weather.noaa.gov/radar/latest/DS ... kind.shtml

and for W Ohio:

http://weather.noaa.gov/radar/loop/DS.p ... kiln.shtml

Everybody in those areas need to be VERY AWARE OF ONGOING SEVERE STORMS-some are currently carrying Tornado warnings with them. This will, unfortunately continue all day and evening for these areas, just like KOW has shown us. All of you please BE SAFE AND STAY ALERT!!

Please let us know all is well as soon as you can if you have severe weather in your area.
