Cold Again for SE Texas!! Lots of Rain Too This Week

#1 Postby southerngale » Sun Apr 06, 2003 12:17 am

What is up with this weather? Our low for Thursday morning is 40° - highs only in the 50's on Wednesday. Abnormally low for us!!

Today it was in the 80's.

Also, we have a 60% or 70% chance of rain every day for the next 4 days so it's going to be a wet week for us here in Southeast Texas.

Hey ticka...check out this forecast.

Yes and to start it off we have to deal with this!!!!

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT...COR EXP TIME
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON/GALVESTON TX
1240 PM CDT SUN APR 6 2003

...TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT THIS AFTERNOON FOR AREAS ALONG AND
NORTH OF A COLUMBUS TO LIBERTY LINE THROUGH 6 PM...

DEEP MOISTURE AND THE APPROACHING DRY LINE WILL INTERACT WITH
FAVORABLE UPPER LEVEL WINDS TO PRODUCE A CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS
THIS AFTERNOON INTO THIS EVENING. FAVORABLE LOW LEVEL WIND FIELDS
FAVOR ROTATING THUNDERSTORMS WHICH WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO
PRODUCE TORNADOES.

THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES ARE INCLUDED IN THE TORNADO WATCH:
AUSTIN...BRAZOS...BURLESON...COLORADO...GRIMES...HARRIS...
HOUSTON...LIBERTY...MADISON...MONTGOMERY...POLK...SAN JACINTO...
TRINITY...WALKER...WALLER AND WASHINGTON COUNTIES.

PERSONS IN OR NEAR THESE COUNTIES SHOULD KEEP A LOOK OUT FOR
RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON. SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO WARNING.

Guess it is that time of year here in SE TX.

Looking a lot riskier for our friends to the E and NE though.

EVERYONE KEEP YOUR EARS TUNED TO THAT WEATHER RADIO AND BE READY TO ACT AS NEEDED!!
