TORNADO WARNING
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE KANSAS CITY/PLEASANT HILL MO
523 PM CDT MON MAY 24 2004

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PLEASANT HILL HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
HARRISON COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL MISSOURI
THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF BETHANY

* UNTIL 630 PM CDT

* AT 518 PM CDT...STORM SPOTTERS WERE TRACKING A LARGE AND EXTREMELY
DANGEROUS TORNADO NEAR ALBANY...AND MOVING EAST AT 25 MPH.

* THE TORNADO WILL BE NEAR...
NEW HAMPTON BY 535 PM CDT.
BETHANY BY 555 PM CDT.

THIS TORNADO WARNING REPLACES THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING THAT
WAS IN EFFECT FOR THE SAME AREA. GO TO A BASEMENT OR SMALL INTERIOR
ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR!

THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND LIFE THREATENING SITUATION. THIS
STORM IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING STRONG TO VIOLENT TORNADOES. IF YOU ARE
IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO...TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY!
