fuzz devil...

#1 Postby pawlee » Sat May 15, 2004 8:48 pm

(for those who don't get my emails)

down at Fairview Park here in Decatur IL, i snagged what i guess is a rare sight on video this afternoon. as per the title of this message, the cottonwood trees were releasing their seeds that were attached to little puffs of fuzz to keep them airborne. there were so many fuzz bombs floating around that it honestly looked like light snow. out in the parking lot, the puffs were whipping into little vortexes like a dust devil. i caught one of the better one's as seen in the video below. if you can't see the video, i apologize but there are screen captures at the bottom. p

Nice catch ... if you look even closer, you'll notice there are a couple of distinct spins within the main area of the fuzz devil ...
