* UNTIL 1130 AM CST

* AT 1044 AM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A TORNADO ABOUT 3 MILES NORTHWEST OF MANCHESTER...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 45 MPH.

* THE TORNADO IS EXPECTED TO BE NEAR... RURAL WESTERN WARREN COUNTY AT 1100 AM CST RURAL NORTHERN COFFEE COUNTY AT 1100 AM CST RURAL NORTHERN WARREN COUNTY AT 1120 AM CST

DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A TORNADO MAY FORM AT ANY TIME. TAKE COVER NOW. ABANDON MOBILE HOMES AND VEHICLES. MOVE TO A BASEMENT...AN INTERIOR ROOM OR HALLWAY...ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.

I think I just heard there was a fatality, someone was killed in a mobile home. Too bad...

SEVERE THREAT IS INCREASING ACROSS PARTS OF CENTRAL/EASTERN
KENTUCKY AS LONG-LIVED SUPERCELLS...POSSIBLY WITH ISOLATED STRONG
TORNADOES...DEVELOP NORTHWARD OUT OF TENNESSEE.

SHORT WAVE TROUGH HAS PIVOTED INTO THE LOWER OHIO VALLEY...WITH
STRONGEST MID/UPPER FORCING FOR UPWARD VERTICAL MOTION BENEATH
STRONGLY DIFLUENT REGIME ON TAIL END OF TROUGH AXIS NOW SHIFTING
FROM MIDDLE/EASTERN TENNESSEE INTO EASTERN KENTUCKY. SURFACE
WINDS ARE GUSTING OUT OF THE SOUTHEAST ACROSS MUCH OF EASTERN
KENTUCKY... AND WILL REMAIN BACKED WITH APPROACH OF STRONG
SOUTHWESTERLY MID-LEVEL SPEED MAXIMUM...CONTRIBUTING TO VERY

A source from Tennessee has told me that the fatality is confirmed.

Even worse, the thunderstorms aren't making much progress to the east. Training cells - look out Cookeville, TN.

Whew, we missed those big cells, guys!

Actually, Jacki, I'm about 65 miles south of Nashville,
in Lawrence County. The tornado warnings were all to
the east of us, today. One confirmed death in Cookeville
(up in northern east Tennessee). Tomorrow promises
another round!
