EERILY OMINOUS as the afternoon unfolds

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Mon Apr 12, 2004 12:54 pm

The skies here in Central Florida {or at least my area} are eerily ominous. The sun is peaking out still, but the clouds are just resting in place.

I have a feeling once the sun goes down things could get interesting around here..

Comments welcomed on this potential developing situation

As is generally the case, the more sunshine [breaking through]ahead weather disturbances (as AllExpertsMike mentioned literally one minute ago in the SVR WEATHER TO THREATEN MIDDLE ATLANTIC TOMORROW! thread, (in this case), a low pressure and then it's associated cold front; the threat for strong to severe thunderstorms is a possibility.

After all, severe weather paramters (the National Weather Service offices) across central Florida are looking at are indicative of potential strong to severe thunderstorms later today, especially tonight and into Tuesday.

As long as the sun stays out, it'll keep heating the atmosphere and getting it more and more unstable.

Well the sun is shining between the clouds so the instability must be becoming more apparent by the hour out there..
