Severe Threat this Weekend.

#1 Postby Brett Adair » Mon Apr 12, 2004 10:17 am

GFS finally shifts the UL jet back down towards the south with an very intense 500mb impulse ejecting out of the desert SW. Seems that upper level diffluence will be maximized with the vacuum effect taking place. Instability looks to be wonderful as well.....I'm thinking we are nearing the season for an outbreak. Stay tuned.....any thoughts guys?

Considering my area of the country, I will be keeping one eye on the potential situation this weekend.

Yes....if I were you I would. It looks to take a negative tilt and head toward the NE with the SW flow aloft. I think you could get some action late in the day on Saturday and through the period sunday. I am going to watch it and see if she tries to move back toward the south a bit brining my area some dynamics for severe weather. Will be a fun one....
