Torrential Rain event for East Coast next week?

Latest data is showing quite a nasty rainfall event for most of the EC next week, with poentially as much as FIVE inches in some area...but generally a 1-3" event which may cause some flooding, especially in New England where some area received 7"+ from the cutoff low last week.
Thoughts anyone?

GFS, as you stated in one of your other posts, has 2+" over a large portion of our area. If a training effect sets up, some will receive what you stated- 4+". Whether you and I get that remains to be seen. Looks to me as though the tidewater on up through Jersey and points east are potential 'winners' here.

Yup...looks like the heaviest rains may be just west, or even east of us...but sitll we will receive a solid 1-2", and like you said, if training sets up, look for much more than that!
