Do you thank that Wednesday will be as Cold For VA

#1 Postby VAWXWatcher6 » Mon Mar 17, 2003 10:07 pm

Some of the latest Computer Models shows Wednesday only being in the low to mid 40s in Virginia with some places only in the upper 30s with Light Rain and Drizzle, must be a very strong High Pressure in Canada with the cold air damming to get that cold with such a warm air mass down south. Do you thank it be that cold or warmer like upper 40s to mid 50s, also on Thursday there is a lot of questions on how warm we will get NWS has mid 50s to low 60s while some models has mid 60s to mid 70s.

The ECMWF last night showed a strong 1035 mb high wedging down all the way into the Carolinas.

Tonight, the ECMWF also shows CAD down the east side of the Appalachians (1033 mb high in Eastern Canada) down into the Carolinas

Day 3 - The wedge should break though as the high pulls eastward and allows a good strong return flow and thus should warm things up quite rapidly.
