We Need Rain!

We are dying for rain down here. I'm getting desperate for rain, and even some thunderstorms. It may sound crazy, but, I've had enough (for now) of perfect weather of blue skies, highs in the 70's and lows in the 50's for the past 5 weeks. It's beautiful, but, I need some interesting weather for at least a day or two!!

I agree, Sean. It just about typical to have such dry weather during the winter and spring here in central Florida.
Looking forward to some possible showers and thunderstorms at the end of the week.

Looks like more good rain is coming for Easter Sunday in the New Orleans area. It's ashamed it's on Easter---the big Easter Parade in the French Quarter may get rained on, unfortunately, but, it should be significant rain for the entire area.

A 20% to 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms, Sunday night into Monday sounds good. Could get interesting; hopefully does.
Central Florida's rainy season is six weeks away.

It will be more like 80-90% here in North Florida! We are 3.25" below normal, and thats even with teh rain we had on late wednesday and thrusday. Even though we had downpours, it wasn't that measurable here at my house.

Two out of the three counties (Sumter and Marion) are now up to 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lake county remained at 50%.
There is a fair enough chance of it rising from there, considering what is being mentioned from the National Weather Service offices across FL.
To see the coverage percentages rise over the last few days the way they have is indicative of even a small outbreak of severe weather
across the Sunshine State.

All three central Florida NWSO updated their forecasts at 3:00 am EDT, earlier than the normal 4:00 am EDT.
The more conservative, Melbourne, FL NWS office has risen the showers and thunderstorm chances to 70% for northern Lake county for Monday; as the other two (Sumter and Marion counties), (out of Ruskin,FL and Jacksonville, FL NWSO.) remain at 60%.
