Also expect a new tornado watch after 10 am cst to include west central Texas. This is going to be an extension to the previous tornado watch, which has been in effect for the past 5 hours for west central Texas. A heightened risk of tornadoes and severe thunderstorms are expected in this area today. Take shelter in a sturdy building on the lowest floor, preferably a basement whenever you get these warnings. Severe thunderstorms ca produce tornadoes with little or no advanced warning.
