March 28th, 1984 - South Carolina's worst tornado outbreak

I was lucky when that outbreak occurred. I remember that one quite well.
My fellow South Carolinians that year in the Upstate and Midlands, across into the Pee Dee Region were hit hard.
March 28th, 1984 - The Greatest Tornado Outbreak in South Carolina - 28 tornadoes in South Carolina alone and 36 tornadoes in the Carolinas, killed 59 people and injured 1248 more. A tornado in South Carolina crossed into North Carolina and became F5 shortly thereafter. (from Tatum, SC to southern Cumberland County, NC - and F4 tornado was at one point, 2.5 miles wide. The last time an outbreak of tornadoes occurred was 60 years before. This tornado outbreak was also North Carolina's worst at the time.
