NWS JAX strange system????

#1 Postby Amanzi » Fri Mar 14, 2003 4:47 pm

Does anyone know anything about the Strange system refered to in this discussion by the NWS in JAX?

SOMEWHAT DRIER AIR WRAPS INTO THE AREA BY SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY
PROVIDING AT LEAST SOME BREATHER FROM THE PRECIP. MEANWHILE... YET
ANOTHER IN THE PARADE OF SYSTEMS MAKES ITS WAY OUT OF THE GULF TO
OUR WEST ON SUNDAY... FOLLOWED BY A RATHER STRANGE LOOKING SYSTEM WHICH TAKES AIM ON NORTH FL AND SOUTHEAST GA ONCE AGAIN ON SUNDAY.
THIS SYSTEM IS QUESTIONABLE AT THIS TIME SO WILL ONLY TAKE POPS INTO
THE CHANCE CATEGORY.

I just wish they would expand a bit... I mean really now. Is it a strong system, weak system, expected to do cart wheels or what? I just thought it was a strange (no pun) way to explain a system in a forecast discussion. Now I am curious as to How what and where strange ;)

lol I hear ya. Seems like they couldve emphasized if it was a cutoff low or maybe something with tropical features, or just that the track is unique.....besides, what could really be so strange from a few days away when they really dont know themselves? heehee Guess we'll wait and see what pans out for Florida wont we? lol
