Same here. About a week and a half ago, my area had 27 inches of snow on the ground; now it is down to about 7 inches.

It is just a sight to see water running down the street. 40s to near 50 for the next week at least. Western Nebraska and Kansas west into COlorado and Wyoming have seen 70 the past couple of days! We might even see some RAIN tonight, followed by an inch of snow.

Spring is coming !!!! :D

You have no idea! All it took after how cold it's been was two days in the mid 40's to kick my Spring Fever into high gear! I just know that 2004 is gonna be my year, so I cannot wait! :D

Hey Jacki-Lynne....if temps in the 40's make you believe 2004 is going to be your year, imagine when you reach the 70's!

The temperatures reached the low 70's ahead of the cold front which brought the strong, gusty southwesterly winter to eastern Texas.

I see Irving, Texas had wind gusts this morning has high as 40 to 50 mph.

TexasStooge wrote:The wind left very little damage in my area, the 50 MPH winds blew a tree over, knocking out a powerline at 2:40 PM CST, leaving the entire street without power for 15-20 minutes, including my High School.

Michael, I read your above post a couple minutes after posting my above message. So, strong, gusty winds continued into this morning before that frontal system eastward through your area....

We're supposed to reach 52 here today and windy. It's already 50 degrees. When I went outside to get the paper this morning, I heard alot of birds chirping. However, we're looking down the barrel of a potential SECS for next Thursday with alot of snow so it's not here for me quite yet.

It seems in order to get warm here in February we do need a strong southerly wind.

Currently, it's a BEAUTIFUL, sunny 60 degrees. It wasn't supposed to hit that until Monday. I'm currently a motorcycle widow because Marty is out on his bike. It's supposed to be gorgeous tomorrow and Monday as well. I did little cleaning up in the backyard (poop patrol) today and I'll be outside tomorrow as well! :D
