SFL In For Severe Weather on Saturday?

Chances are there for a round of severe weather across southern Florida tomorrow. Although the outlook for severe in the day 2 convective outlook is still "see text", things look to be lining up for some trouble.
First of all, take a look at the 12Z ETA forecast for CAPE values across SFL in the next 48 hours:

Second...take a look at the forecast soundings from the ETA model over the next couple of days...there should be some very good turning in the low levels during the day tomorrow:

Although a widespread outbreak is not likely...some rotating storms are definitely a possibility tomorrow afternoon/evening if enough instability can develop.
Something to watch down here tomorrow.

Yep...Central Florida could be under the gun depending on the timing of everything...could be a messy day for the southern 2/3rds in fact.

Warm front moving northward from south Florida should increase the temperature at least a few degrees. Thunderstorms are still possible with this warm front, surface low and upper level low.
The winds have been out of the northeast and north across Florida today (and still are as of 9:30 pm EST) and expected to switch to the south and southwest rapidly, which may cause rotating storms.

Your avatar looks very messy Tom. Hope that rain gets soaked into the ground and doesn't cause any flooding problems

Palm Beach and Broward county had an Urban Flood Advisory until 9:30 pm local time.
Southern Florida counties are having flooding concerns. A Flood Watch is in effect for Hendry, Collier and mainland Monroe counties in southeast Florida until 6:00 am Eastern, Sunday.
I am about 150 miles north of the area under the Flood Watch.
This generally area has a slight chance of thunderstorms, while points south of a greater chance of them overnight tonight into the morning. It all depends how far north the warm front gets, bringing in the warmer and more humid air.
Thunderstorms tend to be more likely with warm fronts during the late night and early morning hours; sort of like cold fronts during the late afternoon and evening hours.
