NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SAN ANGELO TX
1129 AM CST MON DEC 15 2003

.A STRONG UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL MOVE ACROSS WEST TEXAS THIS
AFTERNOON...PRODUCING VERY STRONG SOUTHWEST WINDS.

CALLAHAN-COKE-CONCHO-FISHER-HASKELL-IRION-JONES-NOLAN-RUNNELS-
SHACKELFORD-STERLING-TAYLOR-THROCKMORTON-TOM GREEN-
1129 AM CST MON DEC 15 2003

...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN ANGELO HAS ISSUED A HIGH WIND
WARNING FOR THE CONCHO VALLEY AND BIG COUNTRY THIS AFTERNOON.
SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE TO NEAR 40 MPH...WITH A FEW GUSTS
APPROACHING 55 MPH POSSIBLE. THE WINDS WILL BEGIN TO SUBSIDE AFTER
SUNSET.

A HIGH WIND WARNING IS ISSUED WHEN HAZARDOUS WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE
IMMINENT OR HIGHLY LIKELY. DAMAGE TO TREES...POWER LINES...AND
PROPERTY ARE POSSIBLE WITH WINDS OF THIS MAGNITUDE. TAKE PRECAUTIONS
TO SECURE LIGHTWEIGHT ITEMS SUCH AS TRASH CANS...LAWN FURNITURE...AND
OTHER LOOSE OUTDOOR OBJECTS.

It sure was breezy here today with the south winds coming off the gulf. It was actually a really nice day with a high of 65.
