Well folks its started - another round of rain for Texas - LA - MS - AL and finally Florida. We have a 80% chance of rain today - then again a couple more days down the road. Seems like we have numerous systems off the coast of California and they will be coming across like clock work. Hopefully the parades in the South for Mardi Gras will get to run - maybe the rain will hold off for them until Wednesday.

I hear ya Ticka.....Rain, rain and more rain. I have had some kind of shower everyday for nearly a week now!



Today. Cloudy with showers likely and isolated thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 60s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Tonight. Numerous showers with isolated thunderstorms. Lows in the lower 50s. East winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 80 percent.

Tuesday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs 70 to 75. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Tuesday night. Numerous showers and thunderstorms until midnight. Patchy fog. Temperatures steady in the mid 60s. Chance of rain 80 percent.

Wednesday. Partly cloudy with isolated showers. Breezy. Highs in the lower 80s. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Wednesday night. Partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 60 to 65. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Thursday. Partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers. Highs near 80.

Friday. Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers. Lows in the lower 60s and highs near 80.

Saturday. Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers. Lows in the upper 50s and highs in the lower 70s.

Sunday. A slight chance of showers during the day. Otherwise partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 50s and highs in the lower 70s.

OKAY!!This is getting ridiculous!!We have not seen the yellow orb for eight straight days and may not see it for a few more!!! We woke up to 55F this am and it is now 48f, .6" of rain later!! With probably that much more behind it I don't like our prospects for drying out anytime soon. Can you say send in the monkeys? The jungle is mature in my backyard!!! :? And it was supposed to get to 66f today? WHERE???

Yep raining here too, great way to spend Mardi Gras Holiday lol It's not been a good one around my house. 16 yr old playing basketball Saturday fell after scoring and broke his ankle spent most of the day yesterday at Emergency room and most the day today looking for an Orthepedic Surgeon that is not celebrating Mardi Gras lol found one only and waiting for a call back now sheeeesh

Oh no Bre. These accidents always seem to happen on a weekend or Holiday! Murphys law. I hope he gets better soon.

Thanks you guys just got back from the surgeon he seems to think there is not fracture but we need to go back in a week for xrays again. Tore a couple of ligaments, its pretty ugly we shall see

Southern GA getting drenched right now.

It is supposed to rain here all night in Jacksonville. It's already started.

Right now, the heaviest activity is staying south of CHS.

Latest RUC Soundings and RUC model runs indicate most of the precip will stay in Southern GA and Northern Fla ATT. However, some concerns for thunderstorms in South Carolina as some instability sets in on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning timeframe.

Subtle differences between the 18z ETA and 18z GFS in regards to a secondary precip maxima across Southern GA and Southern SC with the ETA being heavier. Irregardless, both paint some pretty decent rainfalls across the Panhandle of Florida in the short term.
