...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A WIND ADVISORY FOR ALL
OF NORTH TEXAS TODAY...

A STRONG UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL MOVE TO THE FOUR CORNERS REGION
TODAY. AHEAD OF UPPER LOW...SURFACE LOW PRESSURE IS INTENSIFYING
OVER EASTERN NEW MEXICO AND THE TEXAS PANHANDLE. THE RESULTANT
PRESSURE GRADIENT OVER NORTH TEXAS WILL INCREASE SUSTAINED WINDS TO
BETWEEN 20 AND 30 MPH BY MIDDAY....WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH DURING THE
AFTERNOON HOURS WITH STRONG DAYTIME HEATING. THE DYNAMICS OF
APPROACHING STORM SYSTEM SUGGEST THAT IT WILL REMAIN WINDY WELL
INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.

MOTORISTS SHOULD BE ALERT TO THE DANGER OF THESE WINDS...ESPECIALLY
WHEN DRIVING ALONG EAST TO WEST ORIENTED ROADS. BOATERS ON THE OPEN
WATERS OF LAKES SHOULD TAKE EXTREME CAUTION...AS CHOPPY WATERS MAY
SWAMP OR TIP SMALL WATER CRAFT.

ADDITIONALLY...TAKE ACTION TO SECURE TRASH CANS...LAWN FURNITURE...
AND OTHER LOOSE OR LIGHTWEIGHT OUTDOOR OBJECTS.

pffffft! NORTH Texas???? LOL!! You should hear the wind down here! I think the whole state is getting it!

I don't know when this cold weather blew in, but I went out about an hour ago and it was chilly outside! And then wind is incredibly strong! My neighbor's gate lock is broken and I have a feeling I'm either gonna have to go over there and prop something against it or I'm going to hear it all night! :o

LOL, strong gusty winds up in IA as well, and if you think it's cold down there you'd be shell-shocked here!! :lol:

It's howling here, too, Duck! Rain is about one
county west of me in front of a huge green
blob on the radar! Temps are supposed to take
a tumble, but, it's still 62°F, at the moment, ahead
of the front.

Quite windy here too...gusts up to 42 mph...and the temperature has dropped to 49°. Brrrrrrrrrrr!

It hasn't made it this far east yet...but I wish it would hurry. It's quite humid outside. :(

This cold front is expected to stall out across central Florida on Tuesday. Temperature is currently 69 degrees with a dewpoint in the low (to mid) 60's.

Yeah it's pretty darn cold down here today even with full sunshine. The temp is 45 but wind chills in mid 30's brrrrr!!!
