THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW ORLEANS HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
ST. TAMMANY PARISH IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA
HANCOCK COUNTY IN SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI
PEARL RIVER COUNTY IN SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI
THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF PICAYUNE
* UNTIL 1015 AM CST

* AT 925 AM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO NEAR ABITA SPRINGS ...OR
ABOUT 5 MILES EAST OF COVINGTON...MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH.

* THE TORNADO IS EXPECTED TO BE NEAR...
PEARL RIVER AT 955 AM CST
PICAYUNE AT 1000 AM CST
KILN AT 1015 AM CST

THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...NEW ORLEANS...EAST NEW ORLEANS
ST. BERNARD PARISH IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA
* UNTIL 945 AM CST

* AT 919 AM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO BETWEEN KENNER AND
AVONDALE...MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH. STATE POLICE TROOP B INDICATED
POSSIBLE TORNADO DEVELOPING NEAR AVONDALE.

* THE TORNADO IS EXPECTED TO BE NEAR...
METAIRIE AT 925 AM CST
NEW ORLEANS AT 935 AM CST
EAST NEW ORLEANS AT 945 AM CST

Any reports from our NO residents? I know Steve is there in Metarie. Hope all are safe!! Looks like this event will unfold all across the Gulf Coast and SE over the next 36-48 hours. Be safe everyone and please remember to let us know you are ok after it has passed.

All's clear here in New Orleans, the line of storms has passed us and is now near Bay St. Louis.

looks like things are calming down some. The line isn't as strong as it was as it passed through south LA and MS....but you never know! Stay safe everyone in the path of these storms!
