I have to second that Patricia!! I want to thank everyone involved yesterday in keeping us abreast of things!!! That includes a special thanks to our friend BarometerBob who was online way past his bedtime last night helping us. BTW Patricia, just heard on the news on the radio that the hook we were watching in your area last night was a touchdown that caused damage to homes and vehicles. Do you know anything about it?

Yes David it did touch down - a tornado hit an apartment complex - was about 5 miles north of me. No injuries but kept the fire department and rescue teams busy most of the night. I didn't get to check the rain gauge but I'm sure we had over 5 inches. Winds knocked down alot of branches in our yard - cleanup begins when the yard dries out.

Yes, thanks everyone for their updates and prayers last night. I'll admit I was a bit worried when they said a developing tornado was in Beaumont and then the locals broke in and the location did not look good for me! Thankfully, it never got here and I'm sure those prayers helped David!!

Ticka...I'm so glad that tornado didn't come see YOU! I love stormy weather but I don't like tornados!!! They scare the puhjeebeez out of me.

Storm totals for me at my house - 6.15" - that is from last night and the earlier ones that came through. Rain totals were worse to my north in the lakes area and to my west toward Houston so I didn't fare too bad there. Just a wet messy yard now. ;)

We had golfball sized hail today and 60 mph winds. It was totally unexpected and caught everyone off guard. :o We even went under a tornado warning. Talk about nerves being on edge. Power is now back on thank goodness.
