This was taken outside of the Environmental Sciences building looking towards the walkway over the Instructional Services (IS) building (IS is a completely underground building). The photographer that took the picture, which I might add was not me, did a wonderful job catching the deep red color in the sugar maple tree.

That particular Sugar Maple tree turns all different colors. The outer bands of leaves on the Eastern side will turn beat red first, and then the westerly side will turn at a later time. The inner bands of leaves will stay green throughout the color turning process. Then when the outer leaves have fallen, the inner leaves will then turn again a different times. It is extremely gorgeous!
