We have a serious bow echo passing very close to Durham's downtown district. There are tornadoes contained within this line.

All you have to do to get an image on here:

Whatever inage you're looking at, like that doppler image.....just right click the image and a window will pop up....scroll down to properties, highlight all of the http.....gif where it says address (URL), making sure you copy all of the URL address so you can paste it here in the window. When you get the pasted image you want to see here in the forums, press the IMG button, place the URL address of the image you want seen in between the IMG and /IMG and hit reply. Kind complicated the string you have to do, but once you get the hang of it, you'll flip thru them fast!

Just remember: right click your image, click properties, copy the entire url addy, reply here and hit IMG button, after that paste the addy of the image here, press IMG button again and it'll display the image.

Found this ... based on radar observations ... I heard it was more like 60 - 70 mph (according to a met) ... nonetheless, this is the fastest movement I'd ever seen. (This was 2 hours ago)

* AT 1038 AM EST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 16 MILES
NORTHWEST OF LOCUST TO 22 MILES SOUTHWEST OF STANFIELD...MOVING
NORTHEAST AT 90 MPH.

I saw that too Mike....serious forward momentum here either way. Nasty squall line indeed, but I tend to think smaller tornadic outbreaks opposed to an individual cell or 2 that could do alot more damage. In some ways the straight line winds are more of a blessing than having a renegade isolated tornado which could become a monster.
