I think I'm gonna float away...
It has been pouring here for hours!!! Every time it looks like it is about to let up, the rain intensifies and we just keep getting hammered! The same area over and over...and the bad stuff isn't supposed to get here until tomorrow. :o
I dumped 2.75" from my rain gauge over an hour ago and it's still pouring. It was empty before all of this started.

Hate to rain on your parade southern....but if you look at radar loops coming out of your area, there's training and backbuilding of these heavy showers and thunderstorms embedding...will be a few more hours and you could easily see 6" rain by the end of the event. Close to 4" in some areas already. be careful!

Yeah Rob, I see that. That's what it's been doing the last several hours. I dumped 2.75 in. at 10:45pm (central time) and I just dumped another 2.5 in. at 12:10am. Another 2.5 inches in less than an hour and a half! That's 5.25 inches already today...mostly all tonight. We had light rain this afternoon.
And it's still pouring! :o

This general shield of rain and thunderstorm activity is expected to move through my area between late afternoon into the evening, night and overnight into Sunday morning. Some of the thunderstorms are still forecast to be severe. Sure will be something to monitor.
Notice... the 2 to 3 inch estimates over the Toledo Bend Resevior in extreme eastern Texas (along the Louisiana border). That is where searchers are looking for some important pieces of Space Shuttle Columbia.

We're in a flood watch and a tornado watch today. It's pouring again outside but we did get a little break overnight. I need to check the rain gauge again and then I'll let you know. I dumped another 1.4" late last night after the 2.75" and 2.50". I haven't gotten to it today yet.
The worst part of this is we already have a flood warning for Pine Island Bayou and the creek near my house is rising. I've got to make a decision real soon whether I want to be stuck back here or whether to pack up and go to my mom's house or my sister's. At 9am this morning, it was getting really high already and I haven't been able to check it since then. :o
You should see my yard...uh, I mean my lake!![Rolling Eyes ](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)

Southern...there is a cell coming from near where Ticka is and its a pretty big one...I just saw you get clipped by another heavy rain cell and WSW of you there's a few larger lines and batches holding their own...watch the radars and west of you for sure. Most of these storms are originating from the SW and moving ENE to NE pretty fast.
