Finally has quit raining on the west side. We had 2.82" here at the house today. All but .6" of that feel between 4:30pm and 6:30pm. Many flooded streets all over the metro area. At least 4 tornado warnings today with one comfirmed f(0) in Sugarland, SW of me. Just had an im from Ticka and her rain guage has overflowed at 5" and it is still raining on her side of town, about 40 miles East of me.

It finally quit raining. Here was the latest we got in warnings.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LEAGUE CITY HAS ISSUED AN URBAN AND
SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR.

CHAMBERS COUNTY IN SE TX

UNTIL 1030 PM CDT

AT 817 PM CDT. DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAINFALL OVER
WESTERN CHAMBERS COUNTY. 4 TO 6 INCHES OF RAIN FELL EARLIER TODAY
AND ANOTHER ROUND OF HEAVY RAIN WILL AFFECT THE COUNTY THIS EVENING.
EXPECT ANOTHER 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN BY 10 PM.

FLOODING IS EXPECTED IN OR NEAR.
MONT BELVIEU.ANAHUAC

MINOR FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. DO NOT CROSS ANY LOCATION
WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD!

PLEASE REPORT FLOODING TO THE COUNTY SHERIFF.LOCAL POLICE.OR
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY. THEY WILL RELAY YOUR REPORT TO THE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.

I know I have over 5 inches of rain and my whole yard is flooded. I am sure I have water in my utility room again. This bites. Why when it rains its floods????

I'll keep everyone posted. According to radar looks like things are winding down - about time. I better get some cooler weather out of this!!

Thanks for the concern, PT! :) As far as I could tell, we didn't get much of anything down here except some showers. We were very lucky.
