It's been raining here for the past few hours!
It's definitely well-needed, as, things were
getting dreadfully dry.

bkhusky2, I hope you're getting a much-needed soaker, too.
Looks like our heaviest rain has yet to reach here from
Florence, AL.

It is raining here, too. We have received about an inch. With more still to come we should get that at least.

I'm happy for you guys. It's a shame you couldn't have shared in Isabel's moisture as well - you weren't that far away.

That rain is coming my way...for late tomorrow afternoon and tomorrow night!

Yeah, it's punching toward you, Colin. Such a
delightful rain, indeed! Steph, if Isabel had
come onshore in SC, there would
have been a greater chance for the TN Valley area
getting rain from it. As it stands, the NC landfall
pushed the rain farther north...oh, well...better
luck, next time!

Well from what the Radar says (storm total wise).............I think Breeze will have plenty to spare especially near Nashville, TN where some places got almost 8 inches!..............Getting my share here in OH as well with 2 or so inches possible when all is said and done!

A few months earlier in the summer, I swear that the storms were hitting every single street in my county and surrounding counties except for mine! I looked at storm totals and even saw a tiny dot where I figured my house must be because it was the only spot where there was very little accumulation. I watched the rain dance around on me radar...it was really quite comical.....though frustrating.

I just emptied 5" from the rain gauge! There
some flooding in low-lying areas, but, it was
receeding, by sunset. Bron, I would have given
you some of it, girl!
Kelly, I remember your frustration, back in
early summer, with the drought. I was trying
my best to send some your way, then!

It sure was nice to see the rain falling! Another great thing about it was it occured just 2 days after I got my weather station setup, just in time to test out the rain gauge. I ended up with 2.33" total, which has pretty much turned the grass green again!

Yes, indeed, it looked good, and, the grass
IS greener!
