Weather Station Question

#1 Postby bkhusky2 » Wed Sep 10, 2003 9:10 pm

I was curious to see how many of you had weather stations, if so what type and are you satisfied with it. Up until a little lightning incident, I had a LaCrosse weather station I was very unsatisfied with, so I'm not sure I am going to go with them. I've looked around and I'm leaning toward the Davis Weather Moniter II.

Any replies will be appreciated. :)

Davis is good. I happen to have had one over the years. I had a Rainwise which I liked best, but that was a pricy instrument for sure.

Also am using a WeatherMeasure B201 barograph right now...but those are mostly antiques, too.

Good news about Davis...they seem committed to their products and their buyers. Same goes for Oregon Scientific.

Good luck in your hunt.

Thanks for the reply.

I ordered the Davis Vantage Pro this morning (cabled version, didn't like the wireless after reading reviews) I read nothing but good reviews on the Davis systems, and just about nothing but bad reviews on OS and LaCrosse. I found a great deal on the Vantage Pro Cabled version for only 379$, which really shocked me. I'll soon be purchasing the Davis WeatherLink and will have my observations up on the internet, sometime in the coming months. :)
