It’s that time, Wxman 57’s favorite season of the year.
Behold, the Texas Summer 2025 thread. May the season be kinder and gentler than most summers in the Lone Star State.

This is just insanity, Oklahoma expected to have more rain than Florida in 7 days on the WPC is almost mind-numbing

My poor rancher/farmer friends along the Red River may get their orchard flooded again! Unbelievably awful.

No overnight MCS like forecasted for DFW. Not complaining. There is some stuff east though.
Fun side note, this website I just found outputs forecasts like the old Weather Channel. Looks fun.

I grew up in Florida and the true rainy season, with the Bermuda high and sea breezes and all that, doesn’t typically get cranked up for another couple of weeks. This is usually the hottest part of the year there.

That actually sucks! If I had it my way the sun wouldn’t set till 8:45 every day, but then again the heat doesn’t bother me as much as it seems to bother most of y’all. Plus I like being outside in the evenings.

Word on the street is that your area just got rocked by some pretty big hail a little while ago.
It has turned out to be a pretty active late afternoon/evening for areas along/south of I-20.

Huge hail core going through Weatherford right now.
I am sweating things a bit because we just got a new roof here in north Fort Worth.
On those rain totals, I pray for my friends that they don’t lose their farm along the Red River. That would be beyond devastating.

West FW better be alert. The hail size is starting to come down a bit thank goodness.

Good thing the sun set because it really took the steam out of that Parker County cell that was headed for Fort Worth. Also it started hanging a right and diving down towards Crowley and points south.
