Tornado Warning, Blizzard Warning, Same Location, Same Day

#1 Postby WeatherGuesser » Mon Mar 31, 2014 8:56 pm

Taking weather-whiplash to a new level, the tornado warning is taking place in a county covered by blizzard warnings and winter weather advisories, now in effect over far western Minnesota for near white-out conditions tonight from snow whipped along by 40 mph winds.

There was a better example about an hour earlier near Brookings, SD. The whole area was blizzard warnings (orange) so you could barely make out the red tornado polygon.
