First snowstorm of the season-here in a few hours!

Our first snowstorm of the season should be here in a few hours. The mountains have already had several snowstorms this season and it snowed a little Friday September 26, but didn't stick, but the first real snowstorm in the valley floor should hit this evening.

3-7 inches are predicted.

This Afternoon Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a high near 62. Breezy, with a west southwest wind around 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Tonight Rain showers before 9pm, then rain and snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 28. Blustery, with a west northwest wind 10 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Friday Snow showers, mainly before 2pm. High near 38. North northwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Friday Night A 20 percent chance of snow showers before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 19. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable in the evening.

Saturday Sunny, with a high near 46. Calm wind becoming west southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 20.

Friday Night A 40 percent chance of snow showers, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 5. Wind chill values between -5 and -15. Windy, with a northwest wind 25 to 30 mph decreasing to 15 to 20 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.

Saturday Sunny, with a high near 15. North northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Saturday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 12. North northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday Sunny, with a high near 26. West northwest wind around 15 mph.


We should come back with some good snow photographs. This storm should put an end to the autumn leaves as well.

Well, we got dumped on. The power is out at the house and trees are downed all over the place.

I'll post some photos in the afternoon.
