I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to cover this year's Project Vortex 2 field operations (and will hopefully be fortunate enough to cover them next year, as well.) Here are a selection of some of the photos from V2. Please don't steal these or Getty will get on your butt...

Those were incredible! I love the shot showing all of the RM Young Anemometers lined up, there were 6 and at $1000 a pop, just those 6 instruments cost $6000, not to mention all the other gadgets on those probes!
