Best game of the season so far!! Gotta love snow games because there have been so few last couple of seasons.

I would definitely be enjoying that game outside :froze:

That was actually a very enjoyable game, and the snow was just was icing on the cake.

With the Cowboys being as bad as they are, watching some good football was nice for a change.

Just a quick shot of cold air and it warms back up after 1st week in December imo. Unless the ridge ends up furthest west to pull trough further west then it would be game on. Ridge trough position is paramount

That snow during the Browns game was all lake effect. Temps were barely cold enough for snow. If you looked closely at the end it looked like it had turned to sleet.

GFS is the worst for cold/Arctic intrusions, the EURO, CMC usually handles these types of setups better. ICON has been pretty good over the last few years with precipitation and amounts.

I wouldn't look to deep at what will happen the week after next week until...at least middle of next week. The Pacific is always the driver of everything mostly, where they place ridges and stuff determines the outcome.

It's doing those silver dollar flakes at the game. I take a good 8-10 inch snow and be content

Learning alot living here. Need snowflakes produced at a certain temp in the atmosphere to produce those waffle like flakes. Typically when the surface temp is no colder than 29F, you can get really big flakes, and thats when the totals truly add up. Its awesome to see dendrites bombing down for a few hours.

Agree. The ridges are up there and they will mean "trouble" down below eventually. All is well.

The CMC is way too cold often times. I don’t trust that model at all with temps.

Still a pretty good ensemble signal for some snow at least up here

If that happens it's obviously gonna be colder

Cpv17 a cold bias sure, but it probably has a better handle than the GFS at the moment, ICON similar to the CMC, also i dont think its a case of a cold bias here, the CMC correctly has the alaskan block in place which is why it has all of that cold air coming down, the GFS is incorrectly getting rid of the block way too fast, GFS is way too warm, I think a blend of the ICON/CMC will probably be a closer to reality situation

The 12z gefs is really cold from what I saw. I just hope we get our opportunity this winter at some point for a decent winter event around here. I say that every winter lol :grrr:

Given our recent track record, as I noted prior, we really just need to get a cool/cold regime and sustain below normal or even normal. We have been unable for a long time, expecting bitter cold and snow this early isn't feasible and settle expectations. We need at least hope for a below normal, if we can get that then at least it's a good starting point.

I agree. We have had winter storms in the past early in December.
