The 0z Euro
Let me just say I had to make sure about 4 times I was looking at DFW
It's pretty unbelievable next Wed/Thu... more than the entire month of August averages on rainfall occurs by the 4th... the run isn't finished yet and it's still raining.
It is not as wet down in Austin as the 12z but still a good rain event for summer...

It more than would! I hope the Euro continues this insistance but it is still 5+ days away. Cautiously optimistic.
Next few days will be hot, especially before front arrival on Friday. Heat compression will likely get us above 100. But dew points lower on an east wind for the weekend so warm but will feel comfortable. Next week continues that mantra

Re: Texas Summer 2017
Confidence in the model guidance is very low next week
due to both model disagreements and the fact that every model
solution deviates strongly from climatology.
How often do you see this in the hottest part of the summer?

Unfortunately the rest of the state has been hot and dry for much of the summer. Hopeful that will change as we head into August.

Unfortunately we haven't been very lucky lately where I live right outside of Wharton and El Campo. We've only received 0.9" so far this month while most other areas all around us have gotten anywhere from 2 to 6 inches just a few miles away. We've been stuck in a donut hole for the most part.

Okay, I just had dinner at Pappasito's in Richardson, and every tree in the parking lot was FULL of grackles. That just doesn't seem normal for late July. Is it?
