El this, La that, PDO EPO, ENSO, ELO, ELP, AC/DC or whatever other alphabet soup you want to throw out, this is freaking ridiculous. I just want it to STOP raining for about a month or two. I'd almost welcome a mild drought right now.

Not sure if this would qualify as a Derecho or not. Warnings are for 60MPH winds with small hail.

ANOTHER batch of storms rolling in. I can't even keep the windows open to take advantage of the cooler air due to the potential of rain blowing in.

Yeah, I know. Considering going for more gas for the generator. They still have outages they're working and I'm not sure how fast they'll get to any new outages.
Ended up with a little over 5 inches of rain yesterday and some areas got quite a bit more. Probably close to 10 inches for the month on my yard.
Lots of evidence or rushing water, culverts and drainage ditches scoured, rip-rap rock moved, gravel washed out along side roads, branches, leaves and other debris left on roads, etc. No significant damage though that I've seen.

STOP RAINING!!!!
Seriously, I need at least two solid weeks without a drop. A month would be good. 'Official' monthly precip is 4.77 above normal and areas just a couple of miles from there are much, much higher than that. Some places have had over a foot of rain this month.

I thought this was neat. One of the local forecasters posted the dewpoint histogram for CVG.
Fair 86°F 30°C Humidity 72% Wind Speed SE 5 mph Barometer 29.98 in (1014.6 mb) Dewpoint 76°F (24°C) Visibility 10.00 mi Heat Index 96°F (36°C) Last update 27 Jul 9:53 am CDT
Officially, they claim 11 days this month with rain, but I know many of the storms missed their two (or so) foot circle entirely. My guess is that somewhere in the WFO area has received rain almost every day in July. Though I have no way to prove it, I think there have been very few, if any days with no rain at all anywhere in the area.
Today will be no exception with storms and heavy rain forecast. All 7 days in the forecast show significant chances also.
Mostly Cloudy 87°F 31°C Humidity 67% Wind Speed W 7 mph Barometer 29.89 in (1011.8 mb) Dewpoint 75°F (24°C) Visibility 10.00 mi Heat Index 96°F (36°C) Last update 28 Jul 1:53 pm CDT

Closing in on 20 inches of rain for the month. Two and a half days left with 40% or greater chances of rain for the entire period.

My house missed out on most of the heavy rains but Newport was hit with nearly 4 inches in a little over an hour. Lots of ruined lower levels and shops around the area. Apparently the rain built up so fast a lot of flat roofs failed and leaked into the interior.
