I saw the radar rotation figuring that there had to have been a tornado.
Glad some rain fell this time here at the Rain Cave.

Re: Texas Spring 2018
It's about time to leave warm S. Padre Island to head back to Houston. Y'all didn't let any cold fronts slip into Texas while I was away, did you?

Nah. Just an overcast 37 degree morning with a strong north wind. Exactly where we should be this time of year. Perfect weather.

Yah sitting here in north Plano at a soccer game. Misting, 36 and wind howling. Beautiful weather considering it’ll be 100+ soon.

As noted before, along with Bubba's posts, heading into solar min, changes in the tropical Pacific it might be a cooler year (relative to the record years of the past several) overall for us.
The GEFS keeps plenty of cold air on tap in the long range and the models are laying down some serious snow pack across the Northern Plains. The teleconnections, Pacific transition, and SSW lag all point to the potential for significant cold shots until mid May or beyond. I've also seen several ENSO experts highlight that the Pacific could be moving towards a 2009 type transition. That was also a low solar year... anyone remember winter '09/10?

Dallas would be challenging a record low high for today, if the front would've been faster. In my mind, we will challenge a record low daytime high (since the high for the day was set just after midnight) lol

A few days ago tomorrow's forecast was 74, now it's 63.
And I"m not leaving my house today. This is horrible.

Cold air advection can be strong in April. Hilarious, I love it. This is cold for January.

April is the new January

Considering the high yesterday was 87, wind chills feels like low 20s. Drastic 24 hours

If you go back about a week (1st) GFS said noon today would be 65. It is 35. Much like back in winter, laughable.
12z yesterday was a little better with 46 but still off.
