The foggy weather has returned to parts of the North Texas region...this time, under freezing conditions, which is why a Freezing Fog Advisory has been issued for the western areas of North Texas until 8AM CST this morning.

NWS - Fort Worth wrote:OVERPASSES AND BRIDGES MAY BECOME SLICK THIS MORNING DUE TO THE
FREEZING FOG. CONDITIONS WILL IMPROVE AFTER THE SUN COMES UP.

IF DRIVING...SLOW DOWN AND LEAVE PLENTY OF DISTANCE AHEAD OF YOU.
ALSO...BE ALERT FOR ICY SPOTS ON BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES.

Otherwise, we should see mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies throughout the day and hopefully the night so that many of us North Texans can see the meteor shower.

Enjoying a damp fall week so far? Well, brace yourself for a winter-like weekend. Highs will remain steady in the 40s through Saturday afternoon, then lows will fall sharply into the upper 20s. So guess what? We're getting our first freeze of the Fall-turning-Winter season. At the beginning of the school/work week, temperatures should be up to normal readings...then again, what's so normal about Texas Weather?

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the entire North Texas area until 8:00PM CST.

Nws - Fort Worth wrote:A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE ACROSS NORTH TEXAS THIS MORNING.
BEHIND THE FRONT...NORTHWEST WINDS SUSTAINED BETWEEN 20 AND 30 MPH...WITH
GUSTS UP TO POSSIBLY 35 MPH AT TIMES CAN BE EXPECTED...WHILE USHERING

WIND CHILLS FALLING INTO THE 20S AND 30S ACROSS NORTH TEXAS DURING THE
DAY AND INTO EARLY THIS EVENING.

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WINDS OF AT LEAST 20 TO 30 MPH...WITH
LOCALIZED HIGHER GUSTS ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING
DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. BOATERS SHOULD USE
EXTRA CAUTION WHEN VENTURING ONTO AREA LAKES. RESIDENTS MAY WISH TO
TAKE ACTION TO SECURE LOOSE OBJECTS SUCH AS TRASH CANS...LAWN FURNITURE...
AND OTHER LIGHTWEIGHT OBJECTS OUTSIDE THAT MAY BE BLOWN AROUND IN THE
STRONG WINDS.

There's still a chill in the air this morning for the entire region, but temperatures this afternoon will slowly rise to the 70s under partly cloudy skies. There's also a chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight and this weekend as a strong cold front sweeps through the area early Saturday morning. Despite that, we'll not have a white Christmas.

It's the beginning of Winter, yet it feels like we've fast forwardded to Spring. But all that will change by Saturday Morning as a strong cold front moves through the region, dropping temperatures down to the 40s that afternoon.

After a mild Christmas, we're getting a wet hump-day. A cold front, along with an upper level disturbance has fueled severeal rain showers...some mixed with snow and/or sleet in the Red River neighborhoods. We'll comtinue to have winter-like temperatures as skies begin to clear this afternoon, and by the weekend, we'll once again have mild conditions...but in the beginning of 2008, we'll have colder temperatures...again.

Many North Texans are waking up to some foggy weatherm with some areas at the freezing mark. Although most of the fog will disappear in a couple of hours, we won't be out of the cold woods yet, overcasting skies will hover over most of the region, holding temperatures down to the 40s. The good news is that tomorrow through New Year's Day, we'll see some sunshine!

We've been having a cold Christmas...without the snow, and it lasted through yesterday. Today is no exception, however, it's gonna be a tad bit warmer and we're gonna first get a mild Saturday & Sunday, and guess what? back to freezing lows on New Year's Eve.

It's the last day of 2007, and it seems it'll end on a high note...weather wise with mostly clear skies. The only disadvantages are that we'll have lower humidity levels and high winds as a cold front sweeps through the region, thus a RED FLAG WARNING is issued for the western 2/3rds of North Texas until 6:00PM. Fireworks are not recommended until then.

It's the 2nd Day of 2008 and the North Texas is already chilled to the bone with current temperatures in the 20s :cold: with isolated reading in the 10s. :froze: And it looks like we won't be warming up until this weekend. Also, beginning Monday, we'll see a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Another day, another hard freeze. This morning, most of North Texas has current readings in the 20s with wind chill readings in the teens! :cold: Tonight will also be cold, but not as cold as the past 2 nights. The cold high pressure will move east away from the region as warm air from the south will prevail on Frinday Night into Saturday, thus a nice weekend is in store for us. But when some of us go back to school/work on Monday, we'll see a chance of showers and thunderstorms through Tuesday evening. Also, a RED FLAG WARNING is issued for areas along and Northwest of a Sherman, Denton, Weatherford, Granbury, Comanche line. This does not include the Dallas/Fort Worth area (thank goodness), however, it's under the elevated fire danger.

This is the last morning for frigid air in North Texas...far as we know. Then we'll have a rapid warm up by tonight as warm gulf moist air moves into the region. Highs on Saturday through Monday will be in the 70s, then we'll have a slight drop from Tuesday on, but nothing frigid is predicted for the next week.

For the past 48 hours, we've been soaking up the lovely weather we're getting now. Highs have risen to near 80: perfect conditions to hit the park or just simply runnin' around town without having to bundle up. Unfortunately after tonight, all good things must come to an end...at least for a few weeks. A cold front will slowly slide through the region this evening, bringing some showers and thunderstorms...some could be possibly severe. Then from Tuesday on, we'll see partly to mostly cloudy skies with highs in the 50s and 60s range.

This morning, a strong line of thunderstorms has formed east of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. None of them has reached severe limits, but it can produce hail and winds of up to 50 MPH. Otherwise, we'll see mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with windy conditions today. And on Saturday, we'll see a slight chance of showers ahead of a strong cold front. Afterwards, highs will be plummeting to the 40s on Monday.

Another day, another cold front sweeping through the North Texas region later this evening...shoving temperatures to near normal readings. It'll also be a windy day with winds gusting as high as 30 MPH. Although no Wind Advisory has been issued, it's always best to take precautions when it comes to loose outdoor objects.
