A little nippy out there at DFW with a little wind for Friday night football! If we make it to the 50s, will be first time since mid May. Love it.

Tell me about it! I went walking with just a short sleeve shirt on (and pants, of course) and I actually got a little cold! The mist and wind felt so good. This is perfect weather for me, well, I'd prefer having a foot of snow on the ground.

But this is nice for now :)

Got off of work earlier thinking as soon as I get home the windows are coming up and the A/C turned off. Turns out my wife had similar thoughts as I came home to a cooled down house as a result of cool Canadian air blowing from the north. The house smells fresh with breezes moving the tree branches. Awesome weather!!!! Loving it.

Got light rain here off and on. Not even 0.10 of an inch.

Bust of a forecast here, unless there is more moisture somewhere else(?).

But it is 66 degrees! :)

Temp around 60 with a north breeze and heavy drizzle this morning. I could see us not making 70 if this drizzle continues. Almost cold considering it is the first one of the year.

Yeah, 60 degrees and drizzle here at the Portastorm Weather Center in scenic southwest Travis County.

My high school boy, a cross country runner, will be pleased with this morning's weather as they have a big meet in about two hours.

Enjoy the weekend folks. Like I wrote yesterday, there are a number of weather factors at play and Texas weather this next week should be lively.

70 degrees here near the bay with a breezy north wind! Yes, it feels better than waking up to a muggy 78-80F. I can't wait for the day/morning we get to wake up to 50's! So jealous :D

Well Del Rio did good, 60 and we had 2.2 inches of rain here at the house. Really big thunderstorm yesterday evening. They had to cancel the high school football game.

While I was walking my dog today I noticed that some of the trees were already going through foliage, one tree has already lost half of its brown leaves. I don't know exactly what this means for fall and winter, but for it to start so early has to be a positive towards a cold winter right?

Excellent.....I only half-busted my strictly unofficial, amateurish forecast. Noon obs at KMOB: 84*F, wind NW at 14. Humidity levels are still rather high, but there is a clear air mass difference from yesterday. I was correct in having the front come through on Friday (Hey, it was right before midnight, so that counts!!), *but* I overestimated the strength of the front. My impression is that the front has indeed stalled, but made it farther south than NWS had thought it would.

As usual from several days out here for DFW the models underestimated the cool air and persistent cloud deck. May not hit 70 today, which if so will be the first sub 70 high since April.

I've been getting moderate rain here for the past hour or so with more likely this afternoon. Temperature is holding steady in the low 60s. Nice Saturday afternoon weather.
