Damage in Huntsville area....
HUNTSVILLE -- A strong line of thunderstorms knocked out power and sent a tree through a house in Huntsville this afternoon. The Walker County Sheriff’s Office said that there are a large number of trees downed throughout the county as well.

Much of Huntsville is without power because of downed power lines the sheriff’s office said.

A large tree also fell through the roof of a home in the 1700 block of South Sam Houston.

Meanwhile, the National Weather Service issued severe thunderstorm warnings for Grimes, Montgomery, Waller and Walker counties.

Nice, happy cool gust front came through. Probably gusting to near 30 mph here in unincorporated Harris County. No rain, yet.

I notice storms forming around the Panhandle. Wonder if they will here tomorrow? It would be nice to see rain. 8-)

Some bursts of light to moderate rain here, but mostly just wind and clouds.

That was bitter, clouds and a nice gust front, but 13 drops of rain.

Back in April, we got our own private thunderstorm, well, it rained in Tomball and Conroe and Spring as well, this one pulled up short.

Murky here, clear not too far away, maybe the magic of differential heating will do its thing...

Watering the backyard was enough to bring a moderate rain shower!

I was in Huntsville for that storm. The pine trees whipped around. I've been in much worse, though.
