Re: Texas Spring 2025
DFW may get missed to the north this time. Left Abilene just before the storms popped luckily,

Ch 8 said we have a cap and they should/could weaken.

Re: Texas Spring 2025
Definitely a cap over DFW as showers and a few elevated storms have been unable to breach that today. Convective inhibition will increase as you get into the late evening hours so storms should weaken out west as they move further east.
They definitely mean business out west though. Isolated tornado risk continues

Quite the radar hook on that storm north of Eastland.

Re: Texas Spring 2025
Peak heating is just about done, and our cap I think will keep us safe in DFW.
But if IRRC supercells can sometimes make there own weather or something along those lines. Can't remember what it's called.
Edit: self sustaining supercell

That’s a really narrow area of instability to have a cap over DFW.
But, they are the experts.
Confirmed tornado north of Ranger.

Moderate area in Kansas is busting. Lots of tornadoes but well west of moderate risk. Amazing this happens in 2025

Yeah I'm shocked this thread isn't hopping. Is everyone just expecting the cap to hold?

Re: Texas Spring 2025
Man that's a large tornado based on velocity presentation. Hopefully this weakens but Fort Worth is running out of time.
Still expect inhibition to strengthen and eventually end this threat but it's getting too close to an obviously well populated region. Folks in western Tarrant county need to be prepared to take shelter

The storm was to me and Ponder we can see skylight through it, it's almost as if it's weakening as it's getting closer to us or I could be way off my basis.
Anyone down south please stay safe

Tornadic circulation has occluded. Have to watch to see if this cycles but it has definitely weakened which is good sign for the time being.

Looks like it’s trying. This storm has held together better than I would have expected. Not sure if loss of daytime heating will kill this off in time for southern dfw to avoid being affected
