That’s a mean cell!

One of the terms I recall a lot on TV growing up in Kansas is right-turners. Will have to see if any change direction. Right now going more north than east.

Well that was another intense event for me here in Norman. Multiple tornado warnings, lasting for about an hour and a half. Sirens went off 7 times lol. Luckily the rotations split us but hopefully everyone in Newcastle and Noble are okay.

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

It really wasn’t much of a rain even to begin with lol I honestly was expecting it to be a lot worse than that with more widespread rains but guess not

Hug the 12z 3k NAM? The models are going to struggle today with big CAPE across a large area and not much CIN. Minor differences in forcing will make big differences in where/when storms form.

NAM shows some good rain for DFW. HRRR doesn't. Will see...

Whatever shows the least rain is probably going to be right. Lol.

Tricky since we are going to Abilene tonight, so difficult figuring out when to leave.

I’m a bit torn between the mcs-biased nam and discrete-biased hrrr. 12z nam was too fast with upscale growth, but the 18z is more reasonable on coverage and timing, given current coverage on radar. Hrrr on the other hand does let show the current level of coverage until like 8pm, so I think the nam is currently more believable…or at least I hope so

Hopeful for the NAM since it’s closer to radar, too.

Radar is looking pretty good for NTX. Need those storms to keep building eastward into the Metroplex.

Tonight's radar with storms stretching across the state from Oklahoma down to Mexico is worthy of a 2015 comparison 8-)
