When the 2015 Elnino was on the verge of happening, Texas was swamped with rain that spring..... Interesting....

It's not really fair to compare this year's rainfall to that of 2015. In 2015, massive MCSs occurred almost daily, and they dropped fairly even amounts of rainfall over large portions of the state. In contrast, this year's rainfall has been much more localized. It remains to be seen what May and June will bring, but at this point, the two years are not comparable.

Also, DFW has picked up less than an inch so far this week. The 12z NAM... This week could end up being well short of the WPC forecast.

Yeah, I noticed last night the EPS and GEFS were also showing marked less precip totals/coverage than the WPC was forecasting.

Hoping for widespread 3"+ rain w/ min flood damage.

Yeah, I’ve not really been impressed with the rains yet either. They’ve been pretty isolated. Definitely not very widespread. Hopefully that changes.

EPS is still holding strong to 5-7 inches in south central Texas. GEFS has always been on the lower side so we'll see.

Storms firing off the dryline SW of DFW. If those storms get surface based and track into DFW then all modes of svr wx would be on the table.

The Temple (Oklahoma) Supercell already has a funnel reported with it, and it's a nasty supercell with a huge wall cloud.

Storms tried their best SW of DFW, but none of them could get surface based and survive moving off the dryline.

Storms firing again to the SW of DFW. These look more robust than earlier and are starting to increase in coverage.

It just missed it to the south and east.

I hear tornado sirens now.
