Re: Texas Spring 2026
Hopefully these can get strung out into a more linear mode as Ntxw mentioned earlier.
May be seeing the beginning of that now. Would help lower the tornado threat a bit and hopefully keep the hail cores a bit more in check if you can get these storms to compete against one another.

I doubt it’ll be much S of I-10, though. East Texas and into LA will get hit hard.

I was just noticing that it looks like they're starting to back build pretty quick. That one storm that was going tornado already looks to have died off a little bit with the back building it's getting choked off. Or it's merging into one giant Supercell and it'll take out everything in its path for hundreds of miles.

Yeah cell mergers can be dangerous especially when on the SW flank or tail end of a severe line with access to inflow and no other storm competing against it.

Strong rotation signature just NW of Newport. Could be a Tornado forming.

Cpv17 na SE texas will get in on some of that heavy rain, starting this weekend, frontal boundary pushing south will focus heavy rains over our neck of the woods, important to note that global models don’t handle slow moving frontal boundaries well

Moving slightly more east than SE so hope that will let me get the home before things go to heck. School doesn't get out until 4:25 this year, but I am only 5 miles from home.

The WPC only has me getting about .75” over the next 7 days. I hope I can at least get that.

Not to make light of the northern storm but so far the southwest flank of the storms seems to be the worst in NTX with the same areas that got hit over the weekend.

Ponder might get a little bit of the hail but yeah the worst of it's going south of me too. At least I hope.

Re: Texas Spring 2026
Storm heading into Tarrant looks pretty outflow dominant so good news in terms of Tornado threat (at least short term).
Definitely damaging wind threat however regardless.
Storm near Mineral Wells needs to be watched

Re: Texas Spring 2026
Wouldn't surprise me if a tornado is on the ground with that storm on the north side of Mineral Wells. Strong rotation signature per radar.

I know we have a poster in Brock, that cell is nasty moving out of Mineral Wells near Millsap and heading maybe towards Weatherford or nearby.
