Edinburg's dewpoint is 80 with a heat index of 112. That's what I call hot and humid.

I have worked in that kind of heat before. Let me just say it's hard to keep going. I probably was in the sun mowing. Those are days when you can start to get nauseous from the heat. Drink lots of water if you're outside in this heat y'all!

Today's front was a bust IMBY but the Euro looks pretty good for all of Texas, as we continue to see a slow shift in the pattern.

I'll take the 0.31" IMBY with some nice afternoon/evening temps. After about 10 days without rain it was very welcome. Hope timely rains can continue.

End of the 12z Euro run looks interesting. I will not be surprised if it shows nothing on the next run. Sometimes we do have tropical mischief in early July though.

Massive heat wave coming to the Pacific Northwest. 100s in Portland etc. That spells cool/disturbed trough over the Southwest and Southern Plains.

It has ensemble support from the GEFS and EPS as well.

A friend of mine is vacationing in Boise and northern Wyoming the next couple weeks. She was thinking the heat would not be a factor. I told her to watch out for the heat and sure enough the Boise outlook is horribly hot..Overly hot even for Western standards.

At least we won't have the Heat Dome for a long while! This is not usually the case in a La Nina year . . .

That's what I call a gully washer. I had about an inch today. This summer is likely going to stay wet too. Next week sure is looking pretty stormy.

The CPC forecast looks great for rain for the next couple weeks but the Euro and GFS don’t really show much, at least not for my area. They only have about 1-2” for the next 10 days. I mean that’s great but that doesn’t really scream out a stormy pattern to me or even above average rainfall for that matter. I don’t have access to the EPS but the GEFS doesn’t really have that much either. I’m not complaining though cuz I’m good on rain after what I had yesterday.

I don't think it's getting enough attention but the heat wave coming to the Pac Nw and SW Canada might approach historic levels with all time highs broken from Seattle to Portland. This area of the country is not built for this kind of heat. The western drought is feeding back. 110+ in the valleys is crazy for a region that is used to 60s/70s.

Even for us 597dm contour spells hot hot hot imagine for them.
