Winter Weather Adv for VB and ticka 1nch of snow ?

#1 Postby wrkh99 » Fri Feb 07, 2003 5:11 pm

Central zones
will see cold rain but northern portions including northern portions
of Montgomery ... Jacinto...Waller and Austin counties may
see a mix of snow/rain for a short period of time towards sunrise.
We shall issue a Winter Weather Advisory for snow with accumulations
to an inch for the northwest zones and less than an inch for the
northeast zones for late tonight through Saturday morning. This area
will be mainly along and north of a Brenham...Huntsville...Groveton
line. Thanks to Sat...ftw and shv for the collaboration concerning
this issue.

lol wrkh, I'm not expecting anything to stick but I don't see why we won't see a sleet pellet or snow flurry with temps in the low 30's. What do you think?

This is the current radar for S Texas.

Ice and snow are more widespread than I expected and there is ice to our sw and much closer than I expected. We will see if the weatherman is gonna surprise us here in Houston. Maybe if we wishcast hard enough!!!

Some Winter Weather Advisories are coming out of that area in SE TX, and Southern Louisiana. Some areas may see an inch of sleet and snow.

I'm wishcasting hard David!!! I'm sure I won't sleep much. This snow-deprived girl will be watching and hoping till dawn I'm sure!

Looking at intellicast radar, the counties just to my north and northwest are getting a mix right now, not to mention a ton more to my west and a lot of snow pretty far west and northwest. Come on snowbaby....you can make it here!!!

The snow isn't that far from you considering, even if you don't see it. With it in the forecast... the chances are higher than they could be.

Good luck. :)
